~~~~~~~~Born and died in Santa Barbara, California United States, Edie (pronounce as "E-D, not ' Ed - die") has become one of my admired female fashion icons. Throughout history, she has become a well-known representative of life, style & personality of Hollywood & New York throughout the 1960's. Her appearance was considered "different" whilst coming to the film industry, and as time progressed she soon became an icon.
Let's start off by her intellectual self, as part of a ancestry of former American Hierarchy of Major's & Judges Edie was presented with a prestigious education. Edie turned to a socialite, model, singer and actress that became Andy Warhole's muse. She was a sure fine individual during those times, her sense of style was manipulated throughout many Fashion Magazine's throughout America and Europe. Unlike, socialites during the time such as Bridget Bardot and Sofia Lauren natural beauties. Edie shown her own beauty and style making her an individual to other hollywood stars.
Make-Up; Edie Sedgwick facial appearance was reasons to many film gigs. Thanks to (pixiwoo- on youtube) provided me many tutorials of famous stars, and a very detailed version of Edie Sedgwick's killer make up style. I must say however, this composition of make-up is starting to come back, i predict by September 2009 many famous fashion icons will have a Edie Sedgwick Face. OTT but stunning - heavy black eye makeup, fake eyelashes, cup of foundation. That's the Edie way.
Fashion Wise; Hue opaque stockings, boy-cut hair, shift dresses, bubble shirts, Little Black Dress , shoulder-duster earrings and pointy toe flats, a Edie Sedgwick inspired apparel on the 1960's. And been around since then, what can you say the girl's a fashion inspiration. Aside from that practical look; have you observed the current outbreak of skin tight leather pants, knee length boots, think embossed belt and body suits? Yep!

Audrey Kathleen Hepburn - Ruston; 4th of May 1929 - 20th January 1993 (Aged 63)
(Holly Golightly 1961 - Breakfast at Tiffany's)
Fashion; The original inspirations of The Little Black Dress, and had instigated the fashion motion of elegance & wealthy in which was executed through her style but never was OTT in her choices. After winning an Oscar for her role in 'Roman Holiday' in 1953, Hepburn became the most photographed actress of all time. Hepburn was also referred to by the media a ' style icon' for the test of time (which to my unbiased is a fact not an observation). Through fashion in film and perso nality, Hepburn continues to influence fashion in this particular period with her sense of style and accessories she wore.

Rachel Sarah Bilson; 25th of August 1981 (Aged 27)
Born and raised in California, USA, Bilson big break as we all know, would be playing the fun and sassy 15 year old Summer Roberts in the much remembered and loved O.C. tv sit-com. Since the shows departure Bilson has appeared in movies such as Jumper, The Last Kiss, New York - I love you (post production) & Waiting for forever (post production). And had a 4 year with O.C. co star Adam Brody (which was a shame that they broken up - personality they were the best couple), and now rumored engaged to Jumper co-star Hayden Christiansen in 2007. (Thurman Murman - the best name for a dog)
Fashion; Ok, people say it was a major obsession with her fashion style back in the day. But i resent that statement as i was IN LOVE with her style. Through the O.C.'s third and fourth season, Robert's style became quite unique from her co-stars and lacked that Californian feel. Her style leaned towards a fashion icon that lived in the Upper West Side of New York Manhattan. And as you all should know i'm completely and utterly obssesed with fashion capitals e.g. Paris, New York & Milan. (But who wouldn't be? Need i say more?). Bilson's sense of style was revealed outside the small screen, through award shows and random outings. She wore clothes that were mildly bold, eccentric and immersed in a 'Vintage Feel'. Mined you i wasn't the only one to notice, her name capitalized in fashion magazines dubbing her the 'Fashion Icon of Today'. Reason to me buying my 'Le specs - which was a cheap imitation to RayBan's Retro Wayfarers' was because she had a pair. lol
Surely she can throw on a little Chanel, Balenciga or Prada, but Bilson's real talent was creating an outfit without a doubt and generate the most original and inventive fashion styles. Ok, Mischa Barton may of been the limelight of the Red Carpet but to parties and casual day-outs, Rachel's got it in the bag. Another reason to why Rachel's one of my dear fashion icons, as unlike Mischa, Rachel doesn't fall to current trends in the fashion industry she invents them. Surely you're an Rachel Bilson's Fashion Muse?

Blair Cornelia Waldorf; Fictional character of 'Gossip Girl' - (Aged 18)
Ok, ok, ok. sure she's an Fictional Character of Cecily Von Ziegesar, Gossip Girl's Author. But who can't deny Miss. Blair's exceptional taste of designer polished fashion wear? I certainly can't, which makes her my icon of today's fashion (though i should give my props to GG's customer director). But i prefer to extend my praise to Leighton Meester for executing Blair's sassy character and fashion sense to a "T". As an designer's daughter, Blair has to fit the part, with designer wear couture stocked up in her walk-in. Warning Spoiler Alert (GG's Related); Let's hope her half sister Yale Rose inherits her big sisters personal style. ALSO why did Cecily name her half-siblings PING & PONG?? Seriously !!!
Fashion; Designer wear, i crave for. I admit i spend countless hours on Youtube.com & Vogue.com gathering glimpse of current and past Run-way shows featuring Ready to Wear collections & Couture by my favourite designers (might i say I'm loving the new fall line for the 2009 collections). I absolutely love Blair's sense of style, her fashion forward garments, are a major trend. I must admit i fell in love with her Turban Style headbands so my dearest mother bought some online. (Best Mum i swear). She even volunteered to fund my obsession by purchasing a Philip Lim design full turban for my birthday, but i rather the subtle style turban that Blair always wears. MINE IN THREE WEEKS BABYY! ( jealous much? You should be jokes)
Want to hear another crazy & ludicrous fixation story, I'll recall the story nonetheless. T'was at the Soriano Residence ( Sisters & Brother-In-Laws House), and me and my fashion obsessed sister decided to go all crazy and blow my whole pay on Blair Waldorf inspirited outfits. Ashely Olsen, twin sibling of Mary-Kate Olsen together they joined to play Michelle Tanner in Full House at just 9 months of age in 1987. The show continued to view through to 1993, after growing up on the mini screen. The girl's soon became kid entrepreneurs and built the 'Dualstar Empire'! Ashley along with sister Mary-Kate occupations include; actress, producer, executive producer, fashion designer, fashion modal & university students at New York University. Together these ladies became the world's eleventh richest women in entertainment, a net worth $US100 million dolla rs.
Mary-Kate Olsen; Magazine's considered Mary-Kate Olsen as a fashion icon to many young girls. As Mary-Kate style excelled through the media, with her unique style and bohemian look. Which separated her identity from Ashley, she however Ashley found her own style.
Fashion; Personally, I'll love to walk in her shoes any day, earning about $100 million each financial year. Dearies that's alot of shoes i say! But in all seriousness Ashley recently became one of my fashion icons, her sense of style is not typically what you call unique. However, Ashley does have the talent to construct any outfit with simple garments and turn it into a fashion forward design. Elegant, subtle, clean and edgy would definitely describe her sense of fashion.
I believe Ashley has taken all my previous fashion icons and combined them together e.g. Audrey's elegance, Rachel's Casual but cool style, Edie's edginess and Blair's flare of designer wear.
