Based on a 1975 documentary film that observes the the lives of Edith "Big Edie" Ewing Bouvier Beale & Edith "Little Edie" Bouvier Beale. As first cousin's of the late Jacqueline Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis, the Maysles Brother's willing took part tapping into the lives of these eclectic bizarre women. As rated #2 Greatest Documentary of the 20th century you are surely to be amused, one reason being that these two out of the ordinary ladies lead some what of a eccentric life.
Jackie Kennedy Onassis's Aunty "Big Edie" 78 and first cousin "Little Edie" 56 resided in a 28 room mansion on East Hampton, Long Island. There the Maysles Brother shot numerous pleasant Bouvir Beale rituals and glimpse of their individual personalities. This bizarre documentary captured their lives together in their old filthy run down mansion surrounded by felines & raccoons and isolated from society. And not to mention they're constant bickering, singing and humming to their radio made them so successful to the silver screen. And now to provide colour and additional knowledge Jessica Lange & Drew Barrymore supply us with another dosage of refine ladies classic and dysfunctional lifestyle in this 2009 remake.
